Math2Learn is devoted to teaching useful mathematics through interesting and fun applications.  After a long lapse, a couple of updates for more applied math are ready.  The first is titled Forces, Work, and Simple Machines and is primarily concerned with the equation Work = Force x Distance.  The second is Introduction to Rocket Science: How high will it go?.  This second pamphlet focuses on using Newton's second law,  Force = Mass x Acceleration, to estimate how high a (model) rocket will go (using small time increments and some algebra).
